Your Privacy
Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2026.
Who We Are
The Cross & Me is operated by The Cross and Me, LLC, reachable at prayer@thecrossandme.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What We Collect
Prayer requests and stories: whatever you choose to write, plus your first name and email address if you provide them. Email addresses are never shown publicly.
Store orders: when you purchase from our shop, your shipping address, contact details, and order contents are collected at checkout to fulfill your order. Payment card details are processed securely by our payment providers and are never stored on or visible to this website.
Email updates: if you opt in to occasional emails, we store your email address and your consent. Opting in is always your choice and is never preselected.
Service Providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site: Shopify (store, checkout, and payment processing), FormSubmit (emailing us a copy of new prayer requests and stories), and our website hosting provider. Each receives only the information needed to perform its service.
Cookies & Device Storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores essential items only: your shopping bag and which prayers you’ve acknowledged. You can review this anytime under “Cookie Preferences” in the footer.
Data Retention
Private submissions are kept for up to one year so we can respond to you, and are then deleted. Published prayers and stories remain on the site until you ask us to remove them. Order records are kept as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your Choices & Requests
You may ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information you’ve shared, or to remove a published prayer or story. Email prayer@thecrossandme.com with the subject “Privacy request” or “Removal request” and we’ll take care of it.
Children’s Privacy
The Cross & Me is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us and we will remove it promptly. Visitors under 18 should have a parent or guardian’s permission before submitting a prayer request or story.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date.
